13 Days in Bed
On the 16th February 2015 I began a small project that I have given the title of “13 days in bed” I was responding to a diagnosis that I had been given the previous December. This would be the second time I had to deal with this illness and the third operation. It felt too much too bare and something in me recognized that I needed to incorporate this experience in to my art practice if I was going to survive. I decided to paint a small watercolour every day I was in bed, by asking myself “How do I feel today” I tried to be as honest as possible and it was far more difficult than I expected.
