The COVID-19 Pandemic saw us confined to our homes and facing challenges on a personal, national and global level. I wanted to make paintings that created a feeling of hope, made me smile, and celebrate the joy of being alive. Flowers have been the language of both love and memorial and it seemed a fitting subject to explore. On a personal level these works symbolise overcoming hardship, managing grief and finding solace in our loved ones even when the problems that we face seem overwhelming. I hope that when you hang these paintings on your wall, they can remind you everyday of the friends and family around you, the beauty in the world and the joy of living.
